Handcrafted in Austin, Texas

Cutting boards,
made one at a time.

Buzz Pruitt builds heirloom-quality kitchen boards from walnut, maple, cherry, and reclaimed Texas hardwoods — each one finished by hand in his South Austin shop.

A small shop with a steady hand.

South Austin Woodshop started the way the best small shops do — with a love of wood, a quiet garage, and a habit of making things the right way. Every board that leaves the shop has been planed, glued, sanded, and oiled by Buzz himself.

No two pieces are exactly alike. Walnut from one Texas mill might meet maple from another, cherry might find its way into a centerpiece stripe — the result is functional kitchen art, sturdy enough for daily use and handsome enough to leave on the counter.

You'll find Buzz at a handful of carefully chosen craft shows around Texas each year. Stop by, say hello, and run your hand across the grain.
